The body panels, painted separately before the main body was done, are unmasked...

...and reinstalled onto the body.

 

BATTERY BOX-The battery box is usually totally rusted away.  This car is unusually sound so the box needs to be refreshed to keep battery acid...

 

...from eating a hole in the floor of the box, as seen here from another car, and ruining the carpeting in the passenger compartment.

As with other floor panels, the sound deadener is removed and rust is completely removed...

 

first by abrasives, and then...

...topically "spot" sand blasted to remove rust only. Original paint is a fine substrate to receive new paint.  

Veriprimed.

Painted and clear coated-just like other parts of the car.

 

This remarkably intact original interior is bady faded...
